There was a time when you had to travel to Hoboken, New Jersey, to enjoy Buddy Valastro’s elegant baked treats and artistic cakes. Thankfully, it now just requires a trip to the The Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes.

Of course, Vegas ain’t Hoboken. So to put a local spin on the concept Valastro made famous on TLC’s "Cake Boss," he's teamed with locally-based restaurant consultants Blau + Associates (Las Vegas’ Honey Salt, Parq Vancouver). The resulting bakery, just across from his restaurant Buddy V’s, offers a multitude of sweet delights, including the lobster tail: his signature custard cream-filled pastry shell.

Other sweet treats includes cupcakes, cake slices, whole cakes, cake balls, cookies, pastries, pies and New York-style cheesecake. One of the more unique creations is the piecaken — pecan pie on the bottom, pumpkin pie in the middle and an apple upside-down cake on top, all layered together with cinnamon buttercream. Whole cakes are available in several varieties, including vanilla confetti, chocolate fudge, rainbow strawberry, cannoli and carrot.
