Delices Gourmand
There's been a recent infusion of French bakeries in Las Vegas. But Delices Gourmand has been holding down the fort in this category for years. The west-of-Strip business was founded by auto repair shop owner turned baker Yves Crivello, who runs it with his wife and daughter.
Come early. Pastries and other treats are prepared fresh daily and often sell out by early afternoon. The smells alone are addictive, emanating from a large, open industrial kitchen in full view of the tables that line the perimeter of the bakery.
Items range from sweet (almond croissants, pistachio rolls) to savory (mushroom crepes, Eggs Benedict with horseradish sauce). "Delices Gourmand makes a fabulous quiche," notes food blogger Mercy Baron. "Their pastries and breads are excellent." The business also supplies rolls for some of the best restaurants in town, including Suns Out, Buns Out at Resorts World.
