The Front Yard
Ellis Island was home to one of Las Vegas’ first breweries, opened in 1998. And while their brewing now takes place in Utah, the Ellis family still produces a well-rounded collection of quality craft beers, available throughout the casino. But there’s no better spot to enjoy them than in The Front Yard. Unveiled in 2019, the two-level beer garden features an atrium with unobstructed views of the Vegas Strip, retractable ceiling shades, expansive windows, lush garden walls and several TVs including a huge 18-foot-screen for optimal sports viewing.
As for the beer, standards are a Bavarian-style hefeweizen, amber ale, IPA and an easy-drinking light. Rotating specialties include pilsner and seasonal stout, and there’s almost always a rauchbier made with smoked malt (making this the only local brewery to regularly carry the hard-to-find style). This brewery also wins the prize for the most reasonably priced beer in town: standard beers are $4 and specialties are $6 all the time, for imperial (20-oz) pints!
The food menu features items that pair well with beer, with the likes of flatbreads, beer-brined wings, burgers and BBQ specialties like brisket sandwich and pork belly bites. Brunch is served daily, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
