Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar
When we asked our experts where to go to watch a game, Flanker was the hands-down favorite.
Brought to you by the team behind Carversteak in Resorts World and Casa Playa in Wynn, it may be the most upscale of the many sports-themed restaurants to open over the past few years. The interior is dark. The décor is modern. The bar team is worthy of an upscale nightclub. And there’s a private dining room that converts to a private karaoke lounge.
The menu reveals the restaurant’s pedigree in dishes like ahi tuna tacos, lobster rolls and burgers that can be ordered with wagyu beef, truffles or foie gras. But chef Daniel Ontiveros realizes that the fans who come here to watch games on the many high-def monitors (including a massive 30-foot by 9-foot screen) don’t want to stray too far from traditional sports-bar and stadium grub. So you’ll also find street tacos, wings, nachos, pretzels and pigs in blankets.
They open early for brunch on football game days. And the location, just yards from Mandalay Bay’s Hacienda Road entrance, allows fans walking to Allegiant Stadium to pop in for a bite or a beer at the takeout window.
