Hugo's Cellar

When the topic of romantic restaurants is discussed in Las Vegas, Hugo's Cellar comes up almost immediately – and that includes our survey, where the place was frequently mentioned as a great date night spot. The iconic destination has been around forever (well, since the early '70s) and retains a timeless quality. The name is a tip of the hat to not only the impressive wine selection, but the restaurant's location in the basement level of the Four Queens casino at the Fremont Street Experience.

“I’ve liked Hugo’s cellar since I first tried it a long, long time ago," says Las Vegas Advisor publisher Anthony Curtis. "This place has stood the test of time, and it’s still one of the most romantic restaurants that you can go to. The meals come with a tableside salad… so it’s really a bargain on the upper end. And their sommelier, Jon Simmons, is one of the original sommeliers in town.”

Classic steakhouse fare is the specialty. So follow up that salad with a Beef Wellington and Bananas Foster dessert, also served with a tableside presentation. The charm of the restaurant is felt long after the meal is over, since every lady leaves with a long-stem rose.
