Todd's Unique Dining

Todd’s Unique, from former Strip chef Todd Clore, is unique in that it’s much more than the typical neighborhood restaurant tucked into a suburban strip shopping center.

Clore is known for a creative seasonal menu based around a number of signature dishes that in turn have their own creative twists. The braised beef short ribs, for example, are served with caramelized onions and jalapeno mashed potatoes, while the grilled skirt steak shares a plate with On Fire Chili Cheese Fries and a chili-black bean sauce. Even Todd’s Meatloaf gets a creative touch, with mushroom-marsala sauce and caramelized-onion mashed potatoes. And longtime local food writer Al Mancini believes "Clore's goat cheese wontons in raspberry basil sauce are such a classic, they should be declared Henderson's official appetizer."

Seafood is well represented here, in the rainbow trout with lemon and almond butter, and New Zealand King salmon with bell-pepper pilaf and saffron sauce.

Cold, crisp salads are numerous and include one centered on beets, one on berries and one on pears, and we’ve always wondered about the story behind Grumpy’s Salad, with iceberg, blue cheese, tomato and slivered onion.

For a sweet finish, the Snickerdoodle Bread Pudding is something you won’t find anywhere else.
