I Love Sushi

$ $

Recommended by celebrity chef Carla Pellegrino and longtime Review-Journal restaurant writer Heidi Rinella in the Sushi category, this Henderson eatery lives up to its name, as anyone who adores the Japanese staple will find much to like here. Tables and seats surround the sushi bar, where three to four chefs expertly craft the huge selection of rolls. There are nearly 40 to choose from, like the Kiss of Fire (spicy crab, tempura shrimp, cucumber, soft shell crab, albacore, jalapeno and extra spicy ponzu sauce) and Hawaiian (tuna, cucumber, avocado, yamagobo and scallion). In addition to the dozens of rolls are unique and provocatively named dishes like the Screaming Orgasm (shredded Japanese radish topped with seared tuna and chef’s special sauce) and the deep fried Who’s Your Pimp (eel, chopped combination of fish, cream cheese and sweet or spicy sauce).

Another of the reasons this restaurant is so popular (beyond the excellent quality and freshness of the seafood) is its reasonable price points. Most rolls go for around $10.
