Osaka Japanese Bistro
Osaka Japanese Bistro opened its Henderson location to complement its original Sahara Avenue establishment (in operation since 1967), while embracing a more trendsetting vibe. So the restaurant was designed with more open space, allowing it to combine dining with live music events, jazz nights and art.
Have no fear foodies -- the award-winning menu features a large selection of sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki and traditional Japanese cuisine. The teppan grills are the restaurant’s focal points (at least among our experts). But the spacious sushi bar encourages sampling new, authentic tastes. And the tatami room inspires relaxed dining in an atmosphere that’s perfect for sharing. Its extensive menu includes Japanese noodle soup, rice bowls, hot pots, beef, pork, seafood and vegetarian dishes.
Owner Gene Nakanishi, a trained musician, has added live performances to the restaurant’s repertoire, with bands, piano and jazz ensembles. And modern art depicting jazz greats like Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk, line the walls.
