Eataly
Founded in 2007 in Turin, Italy by Oscar Farinetti, this Italian-themed marketplace has more than 35 locations worldwide, including one at the front of Park MGM.
It encompasses a butcher shop, fishmonger, market, several quick-serve eateries and two sit-down restaurants. Las Vegas writer for Thrillist Rob Kachelreiss recommends the marketplace for the butcher category and says, “Last I checked, Eataly was the only place in Vegas you could buy Creekstone Farms steaks on a retail basis.”
Eataly is large enough to fill many needs in one place, with La Macelleria butcher; La Pescheria fishmonger; La Salumeria with 200-plus cheeses and 100-plus salumi; La Pizzeria with Roman handcrafted pizza; La Pasta Fresca offering all things pasta where pasta makers knead, roll, cut and form intricate shapes by hand; and a market with more than 5,000 products -- all from Italy -- including 500 regional Italian wines, several of which can be sampled on a rotating basis before purchasing.
