Nittaya's Secret Kitchen

$

“The intimate atmosphere makes Nittaya's the perfect choice for a date night,” says Sean McAllister, co-host of the Vegas Revealed podcast and partner in Insightful Media. “But really, this is a great spot any night of the week.”

A meal here starts with infused water served shortly after seating, the flavor varying by the day, and continues with the tapas-style menu. Dishes represent Nittaya’s homeland of Thailand, with some unexpected touches from various other regions. They show up in the Siamese Corn Fritters, Golden Pouches of potatoes and curry sauce, fried crispy pork belly and Angel Wings (chicken wings stuffed with chicken).

Thai Bouillabaisse or lemongrass soup is an effective starter for an entree of Thai BBQ Cornish Game Hen, spicy catfish or even Home-Style Shrimp Pad Thai (which, intuition tells us, is a probably a family recipe). Ten curry dishes are served, from the familiar to the offbeat, including salmon-avocado curry and braised short rib curry. Rice options include F-O-B (fresh off the pineapple boat) fried rice, garlic rice and vegetable-based Rainforest Rice. (For more plant-based options, check out the Secret Garden section of the menu.) There’s also a variety of premium hot teas.
