Casa Playa
“Casa Playa strikes a perfect balance between Wynn/Encore’s trademark elegance and the Encore Beach Club’s legendary party scene, by offering fresh seafood, luxury ingredients and the party vibe of a luxury Mexican beach resort,” says veteran Las Vegas food writer Al Mancini.
The restaurants, which replaced Chef Enrique Olvera’s short-lived Elio, is located between the Encore casino floor and Wynn/Encore’s high-energy dayclub. And its posh beach-house vibe is just as welcoming to high-rollers taking a break from the tables to EDM fans on their way to a cabana.
Chef Sarah Thompson, who worked at Olvera’s Cosme in New York before opening Elio, offers a creative yet familiar menu, with options light enough to allow you to continue partying well into the night. So you’ll find crudos, ceviche and seafood tartare alongside tacos, flautas and enchiladas. Of course, this is Wynn – which means there’s no shortage of luxury touches such as truffles, wagyu beef and Russian Golden Osetra caviar. Wash them down with a cocktail from award-winning mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini. (Mancini recommends the Ojo De Tigre – made with bourbon, anejo and a salted peanut marzipan candy.)
