Cipriani
This iconic Italian institution (which originally opened as Harry’s Bar in Venice, Italy, in 1931) now has more than a dozen locations around the globe, including at the Wynn Plaza. Once you walk in, you’ll encounter suggestions of elegance with glossy lacquered wood pillars, classy terrazzo tile flooring, chrome accents, plush seating and floor-to-ceiling windows dressed with graceful white curtains.
The classy vibe was not missed by Carver Road Hospitality’s V.P. of Marketing Bryan Bass, who calls this place, “impossibly glamorous and informal at the same time,” and praises the “good value for the quality.”
Among the many Italian specialties, standouts include carpaccio “alla Cipriani” made from sirloin using a recipe created by Mr. Cipriani in the 1950s; eggplant “alla Parmigiana” fried and baked and covered with tomato sauce and mozzarella and Parmigiana; grilled Mediterranean branzino with broccoli rabe cooked on a Josper grill; and homemade potato gnocchi with cream, tomato sauce and gorgonzola.
Be sure to try the original version of the Bellini made with white peach puree and the Cipriani label Prosecco, which was invented in 1948 by Giuseppe Cipriani Sr.
