Lou's Diner

Open for breakfast and lunch, Lou's Diner is a comfort food favorite of contributors Crystina Nguyen and James Trees, thanks to a menu packed with diner classics, and its homey and welcoming ambiance. Originally opened in 1969 under the name Jo-Ells, Lou's is a vintage Vegas institution, always family-owned and operated.

From 30's and 40's classics such as S.O.S. (politely: cream chipped beef on toast) to more modern versions of breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros and sweet cream pancakes, Lou's has something for every palate. Liver and onions (contributor Gemini Stevens's favorite), chicken fried steak, hand-breaded haddock and even an "Ultimate Grilled Cheese" are offered. Sandwiches, homemade soups, jams and pastries are also available.
