Azzurra serves a modern take on classic Italian cuisine, crafted with care, quality ingredients and simple, minimalist recipes, by Chef Alessandra Madeira (formerly of Bratalian). The dining room is small, but stylish, with design features inspired by Milan. It's the location in Henderson's historic Water Street district, however, that ultimately shapes the restaurant's identity. Because Azzura fills a void in a neighborhood better known for bars and casual eateries.

“I can't wait to get back to downtown Henderson to feast on the tastiest seafood and pasta I've ever had in that neighborhood," says Lorraine Blanco Moss of KNPR, who named Azzurra one of the top new restaurants to open in 2023. "I'm dreaming about the pork chop agrodolce – a pan seared double chop with cherry peppers in a white wine sauce. I also love the squid ink linguine packed with fresh shellfish in a perfect tomato sauce."

The drink list includes a selection of thoughtfully chosen wines and cocktails that wouldn't feel out of place when relaxing in Italy's most charming locales. So begin with a Spritz or Negroni and take it from there. Reservations are highly recommended, even when the patio is open for additional seating.
