La Maison de Maggie
Neon Feast contributor, chef and “Exit Spring Mountain” host Lorraine Blanco Moss likes the “great crepes and galettes” at La Maison de Maggie, and they are indeed the specialty of the house.
Galettes, made with savory (and gluten-free) buckwheat crepes, include such choices as the France (with egg, ham and cheese), Matt (cheese, mushrooms and chicken) and Flying Baby (tomato, mozzarella and blue cheese). Sweet white-flour crepes enfold such fillings as Suzette (zesty orange jam and Grand Marnier), Lauren (Nutella, strawberries and whipped cream) and Alex (pear, salted caramel and cinnamon).
But those aren’t the only delights awaiting visitors to this spot that looks like it escaped from the French countryside. Baguette-based sandwiches include Brenda, with brie, honey and walnuts, and the maybe unlikely Cassie, with peanut butter, turkey and cucumber. Other choices include Croques Madame, Monsieur and Mademoiselle; quiches; salads; pain perdu (or French toast); pastries; smoothies and beverages, adults-only and otherwise. And, this being Vegas, bottomless mimosas are available.
