Pure Indian Cuisine
The views never get boring at Pure Indian, which is located right across the street from the airfield at the ever-busy Harry Reid International Airport (a tourist attraction in itself). Neither, fittingly, does the food.
Pure Indian’s signature dishes include fritter-like onion bhaji, chili shrimp, fish tandoori, samosa chole – smashed samosas served over chick-pea curry – and vegetable biryani. But the menu keeps going and going.
This is one of the few Southern Nevada Indian restaurants that serve breakfast, such as Punjabi egg bhurji (scrambled eggs cooked with tomatoes and other vegetables, along with Indian spices) and idli sambar (soft steamed cakes served with vegetable lentil stew). The menu also features 17 types of naan, kulcha and other types of Indian breads, plus chicken, paneer or vegetable versions of the street-food favorite Kathi rolls. There also are fish, lamb, goat, shrimp and vegetable specialties, numerous tandoori dishes and even Indo-Chinese dishes such as egg fried rice and vegetable Manchurian.
