Mothership Coffee Roaster (Multiple Locations)
Neon Feast contributor Kim Owens, owner of Main St. Provisions, is an unabashed fan of Mothership.
“Mothership Coffee not only has delicious beverages to ‘pick me up,’ but their food selections also make me crave away,” she said. “My go-tos are the Bourbon Vanilla Latte with oat milk, paired with a ham pillow (ham and cheese wrapped in a croissant). It is the perfect way to start the day or that great midday food and beverage pair for lunch.”
Mothership’s cafes serve the customary espressos and lattes and drips, but also single-origin manual-brew pour-overs. Beer cocktails are served, alongsdie draft beers from local breweries (including Able Baker and Tenaya Creek).
Food choices are creative and eclectic and include vegan options. In addition to the ham pillow, savory choice might include a chorizo or sausage crustless quiche, jackfruit empanadas, bacon-cheddar-chive scones or Gruyere croissants, while sweet ones may be ice-cream tacos, matcha-dipped croissants with rose petals, blueberry-white chocolate sugar cookies or chocolate twists with vanilla cream.
First and foremost a coffee roaster, Mothership continually introduces new blends, so by-the-bag choices might include Rwanda Mwito or El Naranjito from El Salvador.
