Letty's de Leticia's Cocina
Located on the northwest edge of the Arts District, and a stone’s throw from the Premium Outlets and Symphony Park, Letty’s de Leticia’s Cocina operates in a building that once housed one of Las Vegas’ oldest Mexican eateries (El Sombrero). Yet this is a totally different restaurant, with a modern take on traditional food. The exterior and cozy dining room exude Mexican charm while embracing the Downtown vibe. And the menu is packed with flavors that are original, authentic, big and bold.
Chef Leticia Mitchell has been wowing foodies since opening the original Leticia’s Mexican Cocina in 2009 (moving to Santa Fe Station in 2019). She and partner Sue Kiple have now found a new generation of Downtown fans enraptured by her signature tacos, award-winning quesataco (seared cheese, chipotle crema and choice of protein), and tortas. Other standouts include non-traditional dishes like the Quesabirria Pizza: layered crispy flour tortillas with melted Oaxaca cheese, beef birria, topped with onions, cilantro and limes, served with birria consommé.
Letty’s was the most recommended Mexican spot in our first Neon Feast survey, with blogger LeAnne Notabartolo, Golden Tiki creator Branden Powers, chef/journalist Lorraine Blanco Moss, and restaurateurs Crystina Nguyen and Jolene Mannina among those who sang its praises.
