Broken Yolk Cafe
Opening at 7 a.m. daily, with a massive menu and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, Broken Yolk Café caters to the lawyers and politicians who need an early bite before court or City Hall. But it’s also a great spot for tourists winding down from a crazy night, or waking up early for some early fun.
Part of a chain that has over 30 locations in five states, developer J Dapper brought it to the historic downtown Post Office building because he felt the company was best suited to replicate the casino coffee shops he remembered from his youth in Las Vegas. So the space has a decidedly mid-century modern feel to it, with architecture and art that delivers some real old-Vegas vibes.
They’re open for breakfast and lunch only. For the former, the savory side of the menu includes multiple skillets and Benedicts, burritos, huevos rancheros, a monte cristo sandwich, chicken-fried steak and biscuits & gravy, while those with a sweet tooth can enjoy pancakes, waffles, French toast and crepes adorned with all sorts of sugary treats. Lunch options include burgers, sandwiches, soups and salads. And there’s a bar full of adult beverages.
