SkyBar
When Main St. Provisions owner Kim Owens is looking for a room with a view, she knows right where to go.
“SkyBar at the Waldorf is one of my favorite places in Las Vegas for so many reasons,” Owens says. “The view cannot be beat. It invites the lights and energy of our fabulous city inside an intimate and relaxing space.”
SkyBar’s on the 23rd floor of the Waldorf Astoria, providing for a stellar view of the Las Vegas Strip. And the operators know how to show off their hometown, and work in a bit of history. The “Where It All Started” section of the cocktail menu references the city’s earliest days with choices such as The Meadows, a mix of tequila, agave, infused mezcal, muddled orange and cherry, and habanero and Angostura bitters. The accompanying note says, ”discovered in 1821 by a trade caravan on route to Los Angeles, 'The Meadows' was the Spanish name given to Las Vegas by the Mexican merchant Antonio Armijo.” The eras continue to “Las Vegas Today,” with timely cocktails such as The Golden Knight and The Strip.
There’s also an extensive list of wines, and light bites are available in the evening.
