King's Fish House
Southern California-based King’s proves its seafood cred by emphasizing fresh seasonal specials like spiny lobster, Dungeness crab and Alaskan salmon when each is at its peak. But you’ll find a broad selection of fish-house classics here as well.
On any given day you can make a raw-bar selection from a handful of Pacific oysters and another handful of varieties from the East Coast. Or choose chilled delicacies such as wild-caught hard-shelled lobster, littleneck clams or jumbo shrimp. Any of those also is available on a seafood platter (available in two sizes). Selections such as lobster and King crab are priced by the pound. And the fish and shellfish grilled are labeled as wild-caught or farm-raised, so you can be surewhat you're ordering.
Traditionalists can sink into a bowl of creamy New England clam chowder or spicy seafood chowder, or choose from dishes such as macadamia-nut-crusted wild Alaskan halibut, cioppino, Parmesan-crusted sand dabs, grilled wild Chilean sea bass tacos or beer-battered fish and chips. Salads are available in two sizes, as well as sandwiches, sides and sushi. And, since there seems to be a seafood “hater” in every crowd, there are several steak choices.
